NCDCC Day Parade

Today is the NCDCC Day.It is part of the tradition of a Uniformed Group (UG) in schools to set aside a day of special significance to commemorate the founding of the UG while providing an opportunity for all officers and cadets of the UG to reflect upon their achievements, besides reaffirming their commitments to the Mission and Core Values of the UG concerned. As such, NCDCC HQ has designated NCDCC Day on the 12th of April each year. The date – the 12th is significant as it represents the original 12 pioneering schools that implemented the NCDCC scheme in 2005. In addition, April is the month where the first cohort of NCDCC cadets was awarded the Fire Safety Badge after passing and completing the module. This is significant as it is the first awarding of a core CD competency to a NCDCC unit.
